A Cool Find at the Mall...Oil Burner From Nepal

I love all things unusual and off the wall...well some things are off the wall...but more or less unique.  Stumbled upon this on Sunday while we were cruising the mall...it's imported from Nepal and they sell it at a kiosk in our mall...I Lurve it!!!

I did edit some of the pictures using www.picnik.com - one of the easiest to use websites in the world and it's FREE!!!  Anyhew, this was also a practice in low-light photography, I chose a low ISO setting, and higher aperature...awesome aren't they?!?!?

Got my Camera in Hand tonight FINALLY! And took some new pictures of our latest foster pup, Hurley!

She and her sister Billie were found at a Gas Station, alone and hungry and brought to Wilmington to be adopted!  We took her in and here she is!

Missing My Camera...06/22/11

Missing my Camera...it's been almost a week since I was able to take pictures, and I am going through withdrawal.  Life has just been so chaotic lately that I haven't had a chance to take any pictures...going through some SERIOUS withdrawal, I've said that already, haven't I??? LOL!!!

Going to the Shelter...Sat, June 18, 2011

Went out to the Pender County Animal Shelter yesterday to take pictures of the poor souls in there and I must say that it was one of the saddest places I have ever come across - the fear, sadness, and yet love that those animals have to offer if just beyond comprehension!

If I could take home every single one of those babies, I would, but alas one cannot!

So I beg of you to share this blog and the information contained wherein so we can get these adorable babies adopted!

Pulled the camera out for the first time yesterday in what seems like forever, been a home body a lot as of late, not really venturing out.  So I tried some of those 'catch them as they play' sort of shots, and a trick I read about online of using my sunglasses to try and tame down the shine from the sun.

It's the middle of the work week and yes I have been particularly busy, work just bogs me down sometimes.  i wish I could go out and take pictures everyday, the best way to practice, no? But alas, that is not always an option, so therefore, tonight I share with the world one of about a hundred pics I have that I took on one of those evenings when I was just playing!

This pic was taken using the 'Classic' setting with a low ISO and no flash, I just love the lighting on this shot - total Oops but I'll take it!
